THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT (FCRA)

The Fair Credit Reporting Act was enacted to protect consumers from credit reporting issues such as inaccurate information included in your credit report, unauthorized disclosure of your credit report and other credit reporting violations.  If a creditor includes information on your report that is not accurate you can request that it be removed.  Inaccurate information is included in a credit report can have negative results for a consumer when buying a house, applying for credit cards, car loans and applying for certain jobs.  It's important that all information be accurate and up-to-date.
